The Dayak Tattoo

The Dayak Tattoo
The Dayak in Borneo still use tribal tattooing to this day. When a young man makes his first hunting kill, he is thought to pass into adulthood. This occasion is marked with a variety of tattoos. The Dayak also believe that tattooing the image of a creature or object on their bodies helps them draw energy from their spirits. Like the Samoan’s, applying the Dayak tribal tattoo was deeply ritualistic.

The Asian Tribal Tattoo

The Asian Tribal Tattoo
The Ainu, who were the natives of Japan, had a variety of reasons for ritualistic tribal tattooing. Women would get tattoos in order to resemble goddesses and to scare away demons. These tattoos were located on the woman’s hands, arms, mouth, clitoris, and forehead. A woman who was not properly tattooed when she got married was thought to have sinned and were damned to death.

Fan Tattoos Sarah Nigh

If you choose to have a brand tattoo placed on your body because you really enjoy a certain product, it may also be considered a fan tattoo. For example, you may be a huge fan of the comic strip Peanuts and, therefore, you choose to have a tattoo of Snoopy, Woodstock, or Charlie Brown tattooed on you. These images are, indeed, brand images. But, you may choose to add them to your body because you relate to these characters or because they invoke special memories and you are, quite simply, a fan of the comic strip and its characters.

Motorcycle gangs Tattoo
Motorcycle gangs, such as the Hell’s Angels, Bandidos, and Pagan, also commonly sport biker tattoos, though these tattoos are often meant to claim membership and allegiance to the gang. They may also be used to display the rank of the individual within the gang.

Very common tribal art tattoo design often used for lower back. The ink is used sparingly at some places as if the needle has run out of ink. Looks cool.

Permanent make up Tattoo

Permanent make up Tattoo
The distinctive feature of these sort of tattoos is the fact that you virtually never notice them. Now that is strange isn’t it? The brows for example can be removed and replaced with a very fine tattoo of extreme and refined beauty. The nasty part is that it will hurt like hell. No pain, no gain. The process also involves the removal part which consists of a very high energy laser shooting at you. The SciFi writers got it wrong. Screw the death beam, behold the bald beam.

Tattoo is Safe or Not

Tattoo is Safe or Not
It's not hard to pick whether a tattoo shop is safe or not. A good shop will have its rules in plan view, and normally won't let anyone under the age of 18 in the doors without a parent. The shop should have a staff member that can talk to you when entering. They should be able to direct you to the portfolios, answer questions about their artists, make appointments, sell gift certificates, and make you feel comfortable. Shops that ignore you when entering are generally the same way throughout the experience.
